Our Legacy

Founded in 1909 by Vincent Giuliano, he and his wife Maria ran the newspaper until the 1960s. Their grandson Edward M. Baker and his wife Marlene took the helm as publishers. Since then, their daughters Marilyn Borner and Pam White have continued the tradition of serving the Italian-American community throughout Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. Today, The Italian Tribune is now in its fifth generation as a family-run paper! Check out stories from our past on the Great Stories tab.
